Colin Paschen started his own lawn care and snow removal business, D & C Lawn Care, in 2018 in North Saint Paul, MN. He had the goal of becoming the largest residential snow removal service in Minnesota. Starting out, Colin tried door hangers and online ads on Google and Facebook. D & C Lawn Care mailed 25,000 postcards to an Every Door Direct Mail list that targeted local residents who likely will need snow removal.
The Results
They have generated over $290,000 in revenue and added 10 staff!
As a result, they received 300 responses and converted 200 of them, resulting in $90,000 in immediate revenue. With an upfront investment of $10,496, their ROI amounts to 757%!
Since starting direct mail in the first season, he has generated about $90,000 in revenue. Since then, with those customers returning and signing up for other services, they have obtained about $200,000 in revenue. Overall, Colin’s customer base has increased significantly from 50 customers to now 750 customers. Originally, they had just pickup trucks, but now they have $800,000 worth of equipment.
D & C Lawn Care has also seen an increase in staff since launching direct mail with PostcardMania. They started with 4 to 5 workers, and now they have 15.
