About the Role:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for generating qualified leads and building a strong pipeline for our Sales team. You will identify and engage with potential customers who can benefit from our direct mail software, educating them on its unique value proposition and setting up qualified meetings for our Account Executives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our growth and learn the fundamentals of SaaS sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential leads within target industries and company sizes using various tools and resources (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry databases, etc.).
    • Develop and execute outbound strategies (cold calling, email campaigns, social selling) to engage prospects and generate interest.
    • Qualify leads based on specific criteria (company size, industry, pain points, existing tech stack) to ensure they are a good fit for our solution.
  • Building Relationships and Educating Prospects:
    • Clearly and concisely articulate the value proposition of our direct mail software and its integration capabilities.
    • Educate prospects on the benefits of automated direct mail and the significant response rate improvements they can achieve compared to email.
    • Understand prospect needs and challenges to effectively position our solution as a valuable asset.
  • Meeting and Opportunity Management:
    • Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives.
    • Accurately record and update all activities and prospect information in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
    • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and opportunities generated.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
    • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to align on strategies and messaging.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and product updates.
    • Provide feedback to the Sales and Marketing teams to help improve lead generation strategies and sales processes.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify and qualify potential leads.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with prospects over the phone and email.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms is a plus.
  • A genuine interest in technology and its ability to solve business challenges.
  • Resilience and the ability to handle rejection professionally.

WORK HOURS:

  • Full-time in-office position
  • Monday – Friday from 9am-6pm with 1 hour for lunch

COMPENSATION:

  • This is an entry level position
  • Pay starts $16/hr + potential weekly bonuses
  • Ideally you are promoted to sales where pay ranges from $80k to $200k per year
